Wyoming Elk | Big Horn Mountains - Area 38 & 39

Description: This outfitter operates in Areas 38 and 39 through a Forest Service Permit in the Big Horn Mountains.  Areas 38 and 39 produce great bulls year in and year out and this in an excellent area to chase quality trophy elk.  Historically success has been high and an opportunity to take a quality bull is here.  The biggest bull harvested here is a 380 class bull.

Although there is a random draw option, guaranteed draw is assured if the client plans the hunt and acquires points ahead.  Generally, 2-4 points allows you to realize your elk hunting dreams with this outfitter. The preference point system ensures limited hunter impact and excellent quality bulls.  The hunting area is huge, and the terrain can be rough and remote with amazingly beautiful vistas.  Physical conditioning is important for this hunt.

Accommodations:  Lodging is either wall tents or motels high in the mountains – the choice is the client’s and can change in the middle of a hunt.  Spike camping for a night or two sometimes helps the opportunity for harvesting a big bull, and is an option that is up to the individual client.  The cook provides the fixings for breakfast, lunch, and prepares a hearty evening meal every day.

Transportation/Getting there: Fly to Sheridan, Wyoming, which is serviced by flights out of Denver, Colorado.  Destination staff greets clients at the Sheridan, Wyoming airport and transports you to the lodge.
