Description: This outfitters bear hunting raises the bar, and they are recognized as one of the select few in North American who truly offer trophy black bear hunting.
This destination is acclaimed for its large number of BIG colored bears (cinnamons, chocolates and blondes) plus unbelievable fishing. These remote fly-in bear hunts are definitely one-of-a-kind!
This is virgin territory and the bear populations are excellent with many bears 300 - 350 lbs. 70% of the bears taken measure 6’6” or bigger with several over 7’ each year. This is also one of the few areas in North America where hunters have a chance at large color-phase bears.
The bears have never been hunted and have no knowledge or fear of people and will virtually guard the bait stands. There is no finer place to hunt a large black bear at close range! There is literally 10 hours of daylight and the bears are active at all times of the day. No sitting around waiting all day to hunt, you will hunt all hours of the day and fish too.
In the vast 7200 sq. mile area, this outfitter operates 9 camp locations, all 10-30 miles apart, ensuring each has its own defined areas. The outfitter has managed these areas since the day they opened them.
Your group of 2-3 will have the entire area, a 100 sq. mile minimum, as yours for the week as you hunt in one of the most remote regions of North America. For those who are tired of so-so bear hunts and want a crack at something special, this is the hunt for you. It’s an experience you will never forget.
Accommodations: Each camp is on a lake, 7 - 20 miles long, insuring excellent water access to baiting locations and, of course, spectacular fishing.
This outfitter runs two 7 day hunts, each with only 2-3 hunters per week at camp. Stands are tree stands and triprods and can easily accommodate bow hunters. This is a custom-made hunt and your guide/cook/camp manager is experienced and dedicated to your satisfaction. Each camp has a satellite telephone or two-way radio, comfortable wall tents and cots, gravity-feed water system for showering, and generators and freezers for all camps.
Transportation/Getting there: Fly or drive to Thompson, Manitoba where you will be picked up and transported to the lodge. It is recommended that hunters stay overnight in Thompson then charter to camp in the morning. Call us today for complete travel details.
For guests flying please note that major airlines will not accept racks any longer for travel as cargo or baggage.
