Black Bear

Maine Black Bear | Option 1

Description:  The outfitter operates on over 23,000 acres of prime bear-hunting wilderness in Northern Maine. 

This outfitter strives for quality and not quantity taking very few hunters per week. Black bears are found in abundance around the lake and throughout the reserve, where they are attracted by many excellent food sources.

Guided hunts begin in late August and take place from stands and blinds, with both rifle and archery hunters accommodated. Extremely high success rates with bears averaging about 4.5 feet and occasionally exceeding 7 feet. All hunters are placed over active baits and trail cameras are utilized to enhance success.

Accommodations: Comfortable log cabins are equipped with gas lights and heat, with each cabin having its own private bath. Fine cuisine is served in the historic dining room and which features Maine lobster, prime meats and much more. This is a great place to bring your spouse or the whole family for a fantastic outdoor getaway.

Transportation/getting there: Hunters can choose to fly or drive to camp. Hunters who choose to fly will fly to Presque Isle, Maine where you will rent a vehicle and drive to camp.

Rates:  5 day/6 night hunts - $2,695 per person

$900/observer - food and relaxing at lodge only

$1,300/observer - food, lodging and joining in on the hunt

Dates:  August through September

Included:  all meals and lodging, guided hunting over bait from stands or blinds, use of radios, use of canoes and kayaks

Not Included:  hunting licenses and bear tag, sales tax, skinning, meat processing, taxidermy and tips/gratuities
