Missouri Ducks

Description: Situated in the famed Golden Triangle of Missouri, this outfitter has the finest and most well-managed properties available.

Surrounded by three major Refuges – Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Grand Pass Conservation Area and Fountain Grove Conservation Area – the numbers of migrating waterfowl that come and stay on the grounds are staggering

Hunting opportunities abound with flooded crop fields, large managed moist soil marshes, oxbow sloughs and dry fields, live timber, to name a few. From the intensive management strategy implemented, to the ability to keep water open during the winter freeze, they cut no corners or expense in providing you the hunt of a lifetime! From April to October, the owner and crew work daily to ensure the flooding strategies and growth potential of all waterfowl farms are as prepared as possible for season.

And come late October…it is no uncommon sight to see tens of thousands of waterfowl resting in the extensive private farms of pure duck habitat. Enjoy unforgettable hunts in the timber sunshine, or wade out into our popular flooded farms with over 50 blinds. No matter what your daily hunt entails, make no mistake that memories are soon to follow. Not a detail is overlooked as 110% effort is put forth each year to promise the best hunt we can offer their clients.

Snow Goose: No plugs, no limits…get ready for the adrenaline rush of your waterfowling life! Consistently exceeding common expectations of both novice and veteran snow goose hunters, the team works relentlessly to put clients under tornadoes of decoying snow geese. With ownership or exclusive admittance to thousands of private acres around major refuges, chasing the tornado is met with unprecedented ease of access. Hunts take place in fields out of well-concealed layout blinds, positioned in the midst of large numbers of full body snow goose motion decoys. With no limits during the Spring Light Goose Conservation Season, their dogs get a BIG daily workout in the fields! With an army of guides to prepare, move or adjust spreads before guests’ arrival in the field, every part of the hunt is covered. Just bring your gun!

Accommodations:  After your hunt, stretch your feet out in front of the fireplace and relive the day’s memories in the spacious, comfortable Lodge. This 7,000 square foot complex features a large common area of windows facing the picturesque view, 12 double-occupancy bedrooms and accommodating bathrooms. The 600 square foot Mudroom holds 24 lockers to accommodate each guest’s gear. Upstairs, enjoy gathering items to remember your stay by in the Pro Shop.

With a backyard overlooking Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge, as well as their own flooded corn fields, see (and hear!) thousands of Mallards descending behind the Lodge during Duck Season sunsets. Lounge by the back patio fire pit and take in the sounds of wildlife all around you. And from delicious hot breakfasts and lunches to Five Star dinners, don’t plan on losing any weight during your stay! Evenings are often catered by the renowned Chef Michael Abbadessa of the Pear Tree, a local landmark inducted into the Missouri Restaurant Hall of Fame. Main courses vary from night to night, but include dishes like Prime Rib, Salmon, Aged Filet Mignon and Ribeyes. If you are lucky, your stay will land on one of the famous “Pizza Nights”, a favorite among guests for years on end. Watch as Abbadessa spins out homemade, authentic Italian pizzas that fit your specific order…some of the best gourmet pizzas you’ll ever have, guaranteed! And when you are sufficiently full, pull up a stool at the 20 foot handcrafted bar with your friends and family, and discuss the next day’s “Game Plan” with their knowledgeable, friendly guides.
