Description: Join us in the Yukatan of Mexico on this truly bucket list hunt for Ocellated wild turkey. This is a great location to enjoy all of the comforts of home and complete your world slam of wild turkeys.
We’ll be hunting Las Flores UMA (wildlife management unit) is 20,000 acres and borders Pich UMA and Cano Cruz UMA, and is owned by a Mennonite community.
This UMA is famous for wintering large concentrations of ocellated turkey during January, February and half of March in the Mennonite crop fields. This ensures large quantities and plenty opportunities for the bowhunter at the bow ONLY area (4,000 acres).
Accommodations: You will stay at a new plush lodge situated on the Cano Cruz town only 11 miles from the hunting grounds.
The Lodge consists of 6 chalets with air conditioning, suite bathroom, a big dining-living area, open bar, swimming pool, telephone, WiFi internet, tv and beautiful gardens. The lodge can accommodate up to 8 hunters.
Transportation/Getting there: Flight arrangements should be scheduled to fly either to Merida or Campeche Airports, where you will be greeted by lodge Staff, then to camp approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours away depending on the arriving airport.
Gear: In April and May is usually dry and very hot. Temperature varies, 70 degrees at night and in may it reaches 100 degrees at midday.
