Description: This outfitter’s mountain goat hunts are conducted during late September aboard their private 50 foot yacht in the Prince William Sound. When not on the mountain pursuing goats you are living in comfort aboard the yacht where our full-time cook keeps us fed and the tv plays a good Western.
These are true trophy mountain goat hunts. We harvest strictly large billies with long furred hides. They do not shoot female or small goats ever. The mountain goats in this area are an underutilized resource and provide a first class hunt. To date every single hunter guided has shot a big male goat. The hunts are limited to a very few per year and the results speak for themselves.
During the hunt you will spend time glassing for goats from the outfitter’s skiffs. You will not climb mountains unless the outfitter is sure you are going in for the kill on your goat. The outfitter recommends being in great shape for the hunt, but they are well suited to take all ages.
Abundant black bears in this area catch salmon in the streams near the yacht and can be combined with goats as an additional trophy. You can hunt goats with this outfitter once and bring home a big billy!
