Free Range Axis Deer | Texas Exotics

Description:  This outfitter has 3 properties secured in central Texas that encompass over 25,000 acres of the most prime free-range Axis Deer hunting habitat to be found anywhere. Mature Axis bucks will live weigh in at 175-200 lbs and have antler beams from 30”-36” with heavy antlers, long brow tines and big secondary points. Most of their client’s Axis bucks are gold medal record book SCI category entries.

Their method for free range Axis Deer hunting on these properties consists of safari-style, spot-stalk and frequent glassing of canyons in the dense hill country brush. During the peak times of the rut (June-August) clients can reasonably expect to see 50-75 different Axis bucks daily on these ranches with extremely good trophy potential. During the breeding season Axis Deer “roar” similar to a Red Stag and this is truly a special time of the year to hunt hearing the vocalization of a mature Axis buck..."Guaranteed to send a chill through any sportsman."

Exotics: This outfitter is fortunate to have access to numerous different ranches available under high and low fence encompassing thousands of acres, thus passing on high quality hunts to our clients across the United States. These hunts are conducted on a no kill-no pay basis with the exception of a daily fee, which includes your guide, vehicle, field lunch, drinks and field care of trophies. The surplus of different Exotic Game animals offers the sportsman year round access for big game adventures such as Axis, Fallow and Sika Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Scimitar Horned-Oryx, Addax, Mouflon Sheep, Red Stag and more.

Since the exotic game species are non-indigenous to Texas, they may be hunted any time throughout the calendar year leaving ample time for other hunting opportunities. This is a great opportunity to hunt the off-season with friends, family and children taking in the great weather and spectacular scenery of the Texas Hill Country.

Accommodations: Hunts are based from well-appointed lodges with all modern amenities located on site in extremely scenic settings.

Transportation/Getting there:  hunters fly into San Antonio, Texas and begin a short 1 1/2 hour drive to the lodge.
