Our week-long Dude Ranch experiences start on Sundays with a big Colorado ranch welcome and orientation and end on Saturdays, often with families' being fully bonded to one another, their wranglers and especially to their horses. Horses are an integral part of ranch life, and at the ranch we've got an assortment of equestrian activities for all levels of riders.

There is always something interesting to do at the ranch.  Even disgruntled teenagers turn their frowns upside down when they step foot on the ranch. The open space, equestrian activities and delicious food make for a powerful combination, one that everyone remembers for a long time to come.

The packages are geared towards year-round outdoors activities. Options include a full equestrian program, fly-fishing, wing shooting, hiking, mountain biking, big game hunting, nature tours, massage therapy, white-water rafting trips, wild-horse tours, golf, cooking classes, and winery tours. Choose from pre-made packages or build your own.

The ranch's epicenter is the ranch headquarters and cookhouse. Both log buildings are from an authentic, pioneer homestead. The Lonesome Outfitter shop has all the hard and soft goods you'll need for your adventures.  Cocktail hour is held by the stone hearth on the living room's leather chairs and couches.  The adjoining dining room has aspen tables and chairs that can be configured in any way to best accommodate your group.  A private guest business center in our headquarters is complete with a computer and a hard phone line as well as WiFi.  We now feature WiFi access at several of our guest quarters.

Accommodations:  At the ranch accommodations are plentiful and five star quality.  Located about 30 miles from Grand Junction, and offering excellent views of the Rockies from all lodging options.  This destination is perfectly positioned to accommodate large corporate groups and also intimate small groups.  With a mix of luxurious cabins, ranch houses, and unique high country escapes there is something for everyone.

Transportation/Getting there: Fly to Grand Junction, Colorado and either rent a vehicle for transport to the lodge or pre-arrange for airport pickup ($200 per group or family of four or less)

• 9am-12pm Horse & Rider Orientation. This is hands on from catching, saddling, to riding.

• 2pm-4:30pm Evaluation Trail Ride and Level Testing
• 5:30pm Appetizers includes HLR Science Presentation by Beth @ Mt. Logan Pavilion
• 6:30pm Dinner
• 8pm-9:30pm Cowboy poetry & Smores @ Mt. Logan Fire Pit

Tuesday

• 8am-9am Breakfast
• 9am-12pm Obstacle Course/Defensive Riding Class in the HLR Arena
• 12:30pm Lunch
• 2pm-4:30pm Cottonwood Bluffs Trail Ride w/ Geo-cash treasure find
• 5:30pm Mustang Presentation @ The Round Pen
• 7pm Adults Only - Plum Creek Wine Tasting followed by Dinner
• 7pm Kids Only - Pizza and a Movie, followed by Camp Out with wranglers.

Wednesday

Friday

• 7am-8am Breakfast
• 8am Begin Cattle Drive followed by BBQ Picnic @ Orchard Trail Head (Cattle Drive end point) Games and Picnic Activities will be Provided
• 6:30pm Evening Activities begin
  • Geo-Cash presentations including themed Food
  • Followed with live entertainment and dancing. Music provided by Matt Holiday

Saturday

• 10am Brunch and Awards Ceremony followed by Farewells and Check Out
