2018 Ocellated Turkey | Yucatan Mexico | SOLD OUT!

Dates: February 24-March 3, 2018

Description:  8 lucky hunters will join us in beautiful Campeche, Mexico on this truly bucket list hunt for Ocellated wild turkey. This is a great location to enjoy all of the comforts of home and complete your world slam of wild turkeys.

We’ll be hunting Las Flores UMA (wildlife management unit) is 20,000 acres and borders Pich UMA and Cano Cruz UMA, and is owned by a Mennonite community.

This UMA is famous for wintering large concentrations of ocellated turkey during January, February and half of March in the Mennonite crop fields. This ensures large quantities and plenty opportunities for the bowhunter at the bow ONLY area (4,000 acres).

Accommodations:  You will stay at a new plush lodge situated on the Cano Cruz town only 11 miles from the hunting grounds.

The Lodge consists of 6 chalets with air conditioning, suite bathroom, a big dining-living area, open bar, swimming pool, telephone, WiFi internet, tv and beautiful gardens. The lodge can accommodate up to 8 hunters.

Hunt Package Includes:

5 day/6 night hunt - $3600 per person (from Merida)

All meals and lodging, soft drinks and domestic spirits

Game skinning and packing

1 turkey tag (second turkey tag optional add on)

Service of professional guides 2x2

Use of shotgun and ammo

Transportation during the hunt (from Merida)

Transportation/Getting there:  Flight arrangements should be scheduled to fly to the Merida Airport, where you will be greeted by lodge Staff, then to the Fiesta Americana Hotel where you will overnight before you head to camp the following day.  Clients must make hotel arrangments according to the schedule below.  The following morning, lodge staff will transport our hunting party approximately 2.5 hours to camp. 

Feb. 24, 2018 - Fly to Merida and overnight at Fiesta Americana (client expense)

Feb. 25, 2018 - Depart hotel for lodge via shuttle first thing in the morning

Hunt Begins afternoon of Feb. 25

March 2, 2018 - Depart lodge for Fiesta Americana (client expense) for overnight stay before departure

March 3, 2018 - Depart hotel for airport first thing in the morning.  Fly home via Houston Airport.

Gear:  In April and May is usually dry and very hot. Temperature varies, 70 degrees at night and in may it reaches 100 degrees at midday.

Not Included:  airfare and hotel stays in Merida before or after your hunt (required for the night of March 2 and Feb. 24), phone calls, CITES Export permit (approx. $500 per bid), additional game taken, 2nd Bird optional ($1200 must be scheduled in advance), taxidermy, transportation of game taken to taxidermist, gratuities/tips (typically 10%)
